Up North

We spent last week Up North at Mackinaw City. We found this great campground that has nice cabins you can rent. If you don't have your own cabin in the north I highy recommend Mill Creek Campground. It was awesome (to use a term from my high school days)!

The girls had fun riding bikes around Mackinac Island. They rode eight miles. If you ever need to tire your children out this works. Even our energizer bunny, Susy, was whining the last half mile.

It was a great week to spend some time as a famiy just before school begins. One Week to Go!
The beautiful rocky shore of Lake Huron.

A tired Susy on the way home.

Claire at Cheboygan State Park.

Emma and Grandma waiting for the sunset.

Driving across the bridge to the U.P.

I think I'm the only native Michigandrian that has never been to Mackinac Island.

We did have a great time!

Susan, are you sure you are from Michigan? We are called Michiganders. I think you've been living in the Carolinas for too long! :)

Yah. When I was in college, my roommates kept calling me a "Michigandrian" and I used to make fun of them and use the term loosely. However, after 7 years of still talking to them, unfortunately, I've picked it up. It's the same thing with "y'all" and such. However, I do agree with you. I've been in the South way too long. I need the refreshingly polluted sulpher air of Detroit. I have this thing about our kids being raised in the South.
